The resources below provide evidence on Utah’s gay marriage fight.  A U.S. district court judge ruled last Friday that Utah’s constitution ban on gay marriage violated the Fourteenth Amendment, which makes Utah the latest state to have legal gay marriages.  Utah’s state government has vowed to appeal the decision.  Utah’s constitutional ban was approved by a significant number of voters in 2004, when gay marriage opponents used state referendums to increase conservative turnout in that year’s presidential election between President George W. Bush and then-Massachusetts Senator John Kerry.
