Live from the 2011 MBA Extemp Round Robin: Exhibition Round Participants Revealed (The Real Listing)

All ten rounds at the 2011 MBA Extemp Round Robin have come to a close.  Adam Johnson, the director of the Round Robin, has just finished announcing the five competitors who will compete in the tournament’s prestigious Exhibition Round.    These five competitors have placed in the top five of the tournament, although the order is unknown.  Also, the sixth place finisher at the tournament (who is not in the Exhibition Round but will be recognized at awards) will receive National Points Race points along with the top five.

Here are your Exhibition Round participants in the 2011 MBA Extemp Round Robin.  They are listed in the order that they will speak for the round with their National Points Race rank in parenthesis to the left of their name.

*(T40) Jared Odessky (Nova High School, Florida)
*(NR) Kevin Ye (Gabrielino High School, California)
*(1) Nathaniel Donahue (Durham Academy, North Carolina)
*(13) Karthik Sastry (Montgomery Bell Academy, Tennessee)
*(3) Nabeel Zewail (San Marino High School, California)

The Exhibition Round will be judged by the other eleven competitors who did not make the cut. MBA alumni Jason Warren, Hunter Kendrick, Logan Scisco, Jack Grennan, Akshay Rao, and Tyler Fabbri will make up a special panel that will only have their ranks used to break ties. Draw for the Exhibition Round takes place at 1:50, with the round to begin at 2:20.

Yeah, my bad. I had the template ready to go and was going to fill in the 2011 participants, but I messed up the release time on it. The Exhibition Round participants are going to be announced in about five minutes and I’ll make sure to get those up.
