2011 NFL National Tournament: Semi-Finalist Placings Are Announced

At the conclusion of the United States and International Extemporaneous Speaking final rounds, the National Forensic League recognized the semi-finalists in both categories. Semi-finalists earn National Points Race points relative to how they placed, unlike other National Points Race tournament, which do not recognize the placings of students who do not reach the final round.

Here are the announced placings:

United States Extemp

8th: Richard Clark (Cardinal Mooney High School, Ohio)
9th: Bryton Hiatt (Plymouth High School, Indiana)
10th: Amode Tembhekar (Leland High School, California)
11th: Brandon Slotkin (Nova High School, Florida)
12th: Alex Wasdahl (Jackson High School, Ohio)
13th: Robert H. Peck (Riverton High School, Wyoming)
14th: Qian Wang (Mason High School, Ohio)

International Extemp

7th: Neal White (Lake Travis High School, Texas)
8th: Louis Li (Monte Vista High School, California)
9th: Abhishek Bhargava (Jackson High School, Ohio)
10th: Bushra Rahman (Alief Elsik High School, Texas)
11th: Rishi Bajaj (Trinity Preparatory School, Florida)
12th: Dhruv Ranadive (Trinity Preparatory School, Florida)
13th: Philip Mulder (Portage Northern High School, Michigan)
14th: Ian MacGillivray (Columbiana High School, Ohio)

The top six in each event will be recognized at awards this evening, which will begin streaming at 5:00 p.m. CST.
