The qualification board for the 2011 Extemporaneous Speaking Tournament of Champions has been updated to reflect the results of the 2011 North Carolina and Massachusetts state tournaments. All of the finalists at this tournaments earned automatic qualifications to the 2011 Extemporaneous Speaking Tournament of Champions under category 2C.
Eight qualified to the Extemp TOC under this criteria, bringing the total number of extempers qualified to the TOC at 382. North Carolina ends the year with 14 qualifiers, while Massachusetts ends the year with seven. The only state tournaments that are missing from our list are Illinois and New York. If you have these, send them to us at please send them to us at logan.scisco@topper.wku.edu so that we can assemble the final TOC qual board (and put together a state champion roll call at the end of the year).
State tournament results that happened after the April 15th deadline are being collected right now as well. I will post a great deal of these next week and after the Extemp TOC concludes at Northwestern University, I will post the first 2011-2012 qual board next Friday.
