2011 Extemp TOC: The TOC Qual Board is Updated to Reflect Glenbrooks and Villiger

The qualification board for the 2011 Extemporaneous Speaking Tournament of Champions has been updated to reflect the results of Glenbrooks and Villiger.

Last weekend, Stephen Buell of Regis High School in New York, Nick Hansen of Ridge High School in New Jersey, and Neal White of Lake Travis High School in Texas became the latest category three qualifiers.  In all, 138 extempers have now qualified for the TOC, with Texas leading the way with 25 qualifiers.  84 extempers have one qualifying leg and need another elimination round appearance to become a qualifier.

Next week is going to be a busy one for the TOC, as four tournaments host Extemp TOC qualifiers.  The most prominent one is the George Mason University Patriot Games Tournament in Fairfax, Virginia, which is also a third tier tournament in the 2010-2011 Extemp Central National Points Race.  Extemp Central will provide information about these tournaments next week.
